The heart of this placement
Sagittarius pulls Mercury's lens all the way back. Where others read paragraphs, you hunt the thesis: hand you a twenty-page report and five minutes of page-flipping later you can tell the room what it is really trying to do. Ask you about the figure on page seven, though, and you will say 'that part doesn't matter.' Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of wisdom and meaning, so this brain is addicted to the question 'what is all of this for.' Halfway through small talk you find yourself zooming out to the level of life philosophy, and, annoyingly for everyone, it is often actually good. You speak straight, sometimes with no filter installed: 'this plan is pointed the wrong way' is out of your mouth before you remember the person pulled three all-nighters on it. You are not unkind. You just genuinely rank truth above comfort.
Strengths
Making the complicated simple is your gift: teaching, training, consulting, missionary-grade marketing, you can translate a hard subject into three sentences a stranger on the street would understand. Crossing cultures pays you too: foreign languages, international business, working abroad, you adapt to unfamiliar contexts fast because you grab meaning, not wording. Any topic that needs a wide-open first move belongs on your desk.
Challenges
Details are where you leak points: the flight booked on the wrong date, the quote missing a line item, the words 'probably fine' signing you up for commitments you will curse later. Another signal is overpromising: 'easy, I'll have it in three days,' and on day five you are still at it. And the sermons come too fast. Someone just wanted to vent, you have already delivered three life lessons, and all they actually needed was 'that sounds rough.'
This week, before you state any conclusion, stop and verify one concrete number or date. Just one. The gist-grabbing mind, paired with a single act of fact-checking, is what upgrades you from 'sounds convincing' to 'can be trusted.'
